Core Four

Jacob Degrom (P) $10,400 – Degrom is the pitcher I will be paying up for on a slate with multiple top tier pitching options. He has been nothing short of phenomenal on the year with a 2.98 xFIP and 29.8% K rate. The Mets will be his opponent tonight who only have one player with a .200 ISO or greater and strikeout at a 22% rate on the year. Current Mets hitters have a .243 batting average and only 5 home runs in 120 plate appearances against Degrom. Degrom is my SP1 in both cash as well as GPPs and is in a great spot for a 30 DK plus point performance.

Didi Gregorius (SS) $4,300 – Didi has looked good since coming back from Tommy John surgery and will get a great match up against Ivan Nova. Nova has been pretty bad on the year and is one of seven pitchers who have allowed more runs than strikeouts this year. He also allows a .216 ISO and .413 wOBA to left handed batters and has struck out very few with only a 12.6% K rate. Gregorius should be well rested and is in a great spot for his second home run on the year.

James McCann (C) $3,900 – McCann will be going up against J.A. Happ who is a pitcher i’m considering playing on tonight’s slate. The White Sox as a whole are weak against Left handed pitchers but McCann has thrived in these match ups. McCann has a .214 ISO on the year and Happ has struggled with right handed power bats allowing a 42.7% hard hit rate and a .239 ISO.

Jeff McNeil (OF) $4.000 – Part of my favorite low owned stack on tonight’s slate, McNeil will get a match up against Jack Flaherty who has been good on the year with a 3.81 xFIP. Flaherty has struggled mightily against left handed batters on the year allowing a .236 ISO and near 47% hard hit rate. A 3 man stack of Mets lefties (McNeil, Smith, Conforto) could be a very low owned stack with high upside on slate with Coors Field in play.
